Mobile world congress: D2 Technologies demonstrates mCUE4G for mobile devices

By Telecom Lead Team: D2 Technologies, a provider of
embedded IP communications software platforms, has showcased its mCUE 4G,
a converged 4G mobile communications client for Voice over LTE (VoLTE) and rich
communications (RCS) video calling, at Mobile World Congress 2012.

mCUE 4G is an interoperable solution that helps carriers
and device manufacturers more economically develop VoLTE- and RCS-capable
smartphones, tablets, media phones and other mobile devices.

With mCUE’s carrier-grade voice and video quality,
OEMs/ODMs can confidently meet today’s growing consumer demand for advanced
rich IP communications products for 4G networks.

“Interoperability is one of the key product features
for mCUE 4G. It solves a key problem for carriers by delivering a seamless user
experience even as mobile devices roll in and out of 4G, 3G, 2G and WiFi/WiMAX
networks. mCUE 4G gives carriers the confidence to guarantee the superior voice
and video quality that consumers have come to expect regardless of
network,” said Doug Makishima, chief operating officer for D2 Technologies.

Yes, a network operator and a brand under YTL
Communications in Malaysia, has deployed this first IP communications
client. It is field proven and delivers carrier-grade voice and video quality
and demonstrated interoperability.

“YTL Communications is pleased to have launched the
world’s first fully converged nationwide 4G network. We are excited to partner
with D2 in clinching another world’s first,” said Wing K. Lee, CEO of YTL
Communications in Malaysia.

mCUE 4G is an IMS IP communications software solution for
the Android OS platform, supporting both the IR.92 VoLTE and RCS/RCS-e GSMA
standards to deliver IP communications features like HD voice, real time video
call, instant message, presence, SMS and VCC/CSFB on 4G mobile networks.

mCUE 4G supports application processors from companies
such as Qualcomm, NVIDIA, Freescale Semiconductor, Marvell and Texas
Instruments.

Recently, D2 Communications, Dentsu, and Butterfly Corporation jointly announced that
iButterfly Plus, a social game for smartphones, is now available in 86
countries and regions.
