Huawei booth at MWC 2017Huawei has tested LTE-Advanced Pro technology on EE’s network at Wembley Stadium in London, achieving peak data rate of 970 Mbps.

Huawei said this commercial test, achieving the fastest data speed ever recorded on a commercial network, used the Huawei Mate 10 Pro smartphone on a 4T4R network (four transceivers and four receivers).

Tom Bennett, director of Network Services and Devices at EE, said Huawei’s test showcases what can be achieved with 4G by investing in latest technologies.

Bob Cai, president of LTE FDD Product Line at Huawei, said Gigabit networks have become the new benchmark for high-speed mobile broadband networks. Mobile operators prefer 4T4R as the basic configuration for Gigabit networks. Huawei has deployed over 60 4T4R commercial networks globally.
