China Mobile Hong Kong unveils 4G LTE international roaming service

Telecom Lead Asia: China Mobile Hong Kong (CHMK), an Asia
mobile provider, has launched a new LTE Roaming service using Aicent’s LTE
Roaming Exchange service.

The new service will enable CMHK’s mobile subscribers
with international roaming capabilities while travelling from Hong Kong to
global destinations on 4G LTE networks.

The operator wanted to bridge their Hong Kong network
with other global mobile operators, thus selected Aicent’s LTE Roaming Exchange
service.

Aicent’s LTE Roaming Exchange service will lessen the
complexities of interconnecting difference among LTE operator networks.

Our continued focus on aligning our network
investments with technology developments led us to Aicent’s LTE Roaming
Exchange service which gives us the ability to quickly roll-out innovative and
differentiated 4G roaming services to our mobile subscribers when they
travel abroad,” said Sean Lee, Director and Chief Executive Officer, China
Mobile Hong Kong.

Aicent has developed it LTE Roaming Exchange on a secure
IPX network infrastructure. The LTE Roaming Exchange allows global operators to
interconnect their divergent 4G networks through a single connection delivering
end-to-end voice, data, and video services over 4G LTE networks.

Aicent claims that the LTE Roaming Exchange allows for
assured QoS, support for multiple CoS, and guaranteed security.

With over a decade of experience developing
innovative mobile data solutions for global operators, Aicent is well
positioned to help a leading operator, such as CMHK, launch a powerful LTE
roaming solution, allowing them to offer high quality 4G roaming services to
their mobile subscribers as they roam outside their home network,”
said Lynn Liu, president and CEO of Aicent, Inc.
