Cellcom Israel in 4G LTE network deal with NSN

Cellcom Israel has selected Nokia Solutions and Networks (NSN) for supplying of its 4G LTE network across the country.

The company today said it will start the deployment of the network, which supports LTE Advanced technology, immediately and expects to achieve a wide deployment of the network by the end of the year.

The operation of the network as well as its LTE Advanced qualities is subject to the regulator’s approvals and availability of spectrum.

Cellcom Israel provides its mobile services to approximately 3.092 million subscribers. It operates an HSPA 3.5G network enabling high speed broadband services, in addition to GSM/GPRS/EDGE networks.
