Telecomlead Team: ADAX, a provider of high-performance
packet-processing, security and network infrastructure, and ARICENT GROUP, an innovation
and technology services company have collaborated to develop a Long Term
Evolution (LTE) Evolved Packet Core (EPC).
Through this collaboration, the companies will offer a
pre-integrated LTE core network offering to OEMs and System Integrators and
provide complete solutions for niche small-mid subscriber markets such as
public safety, rural and enterprise.
Together, Aricent and Adax will
reduce OEM development time and engineering cost for the niche small-mid
subscriber market solutions.
Aricent’s partnership with ADAX for LTE is a natural
extension of our decade long relationship spanning solutions across signaling
gateways, deep packet inspection applications, fixed mobile convergence
solutions and mobile data offload solutions,” said Rakesh Vij, vice president
of business development, wireless and convergence for Aricent.
With this partnership both companies offer LTE equipment
manufacturers and System Integrators a high-performance, pre-integrated, and
optimized solution for their EPC solutions that will simultaneously reduce time
to market, risk and cost.
The offering will be available integrated and
pre-optimized on the Adax PacketRunner ATCA blade and PacketAMC boards and in a
range of cost-effective and energy efficient 2, 6 and 12 slot ATCA systems
delivering a complete -Network In a Box’ solution.
Aricent‘s LTE EPC software framework is
an integrated offering of MME, SGW, PGW, HSS and PCRF components with the
flexibility to run any of these nodes in any combination and permutation on
single or multiple hardware platforms. Aricent’s LTE EPC software framework is
a highly mature, robust and optimized offering for the small-mid subscriber
market.
Combining Aricent’s LTE expertise and software
technology with Adax ATCA hardware and software will provide our mutual
customers with an optimized, robust and reliable solution for EPC
applications,” said Robin Kent, director of European Operations at
Adax.
Recently, Aricent and Cavium announced their collaboration on
4G/LTE Radio Access and Evolved Packet Core solutions.
