Airtel’s strong 4G presence across Bengal and Sikkim will enable seamless connectivity for VoLTE services. Airtel has already enhanced its 4G capacity in both the states to serve the fast growing customer demand for high-speed data.

Over 200 4G smartphones now support Airtel VoLTE, enabling customers to experience HD quality voice calling and data.

4G smartphones from major brands such as Oppo, Vivo, Apple, Samsung, OnePlus, Nokia, Panasonic, Xiaomi, Karbonn, Lava and Panasonic support Airtel VoLTE across India.

“We extend our VoLTE footprint to Bengal and Sikkim, complementing our 4G network, to enhance customer’s experience,” Sameer Anjaria, CEO, West Bengal & Odisha, Bharti Airtel said.

4G customers need not purchase new SIM for making VoLTE calls. In addition, there will be no additional data charges for VoLTE. Airtel will be billing VoLTE calls as per existing plan or pack only. Airtel VoLTE calls automatically fall back on 3G / 2G network in case of non-availability of 4G network.
