Airtel offers VoLTE in Kolkata

Airtel India revenue Q2Indian telecom operator Bharti Airtel has launched its VoLTE services on its 4G network in Kolkata.

Airtel said more than 100 smartphone models from Apple, Samsung, OnePlus and Xiaomi, among others, currently support VoLTE. Reliance Jio has nation-wide VoLTE coverage offering HD quality voice calls.

Sameer Anjaria, CEO of West Bengal & Odisha, Bharti Airtel said: “Customers need not pay additional data charges for making VoLTE calls. VoLTE will be billed as per existing plan or packs benefits.”

Airtel’s 4G network coverage enables seamless connectivity on Airtel VoLTE and in case of non-availability of 4G network, Airtel VoLTE calls will automatically fall back on 3G / 2G network to ensure best customer experience.
