Telecom service provider Bharti Airtel has unveiled 4G LTE services in Mysore, Karnataka.
Airtel is offering free upgrade to 4G at 3G prices.
India has 143 million social media users in April, according to the Internet and Mobile Association of India and IMRB International. Of these, 61 percent access social media on their mobile devices. The usage of social media in rural India rose 100 percent and in last one year alone has reached to 25 million Indians.
“After witnessing a compelling market response for Airtel 4G in Bengaluru and Mangalore, we invite our customers in Mysore to be the next in the state of Karnataka to enjoy 4G – with complimentary upgrade to 4G services at 3G prices,” said C Surendran, CEO – Karnataka, Bharti Airtel.
Existing Airtel customers with 4G mobile devices can upgrade to a 4G SIM at its retail outlets. This apart, customers can also visit www.airtel.in/4g and order the latest 4G SIM to be delivered at their doorstep.
Airtel offers Airtel 4G Dongle, Myfi (Hot Spot), Indoor CPE (Router) and Outdoor CPE (Router) that allows compatible mobile devices to latch onto the 4G network and experience superfast internet speeds.
Airtel will be offering Rs 500 cash back on Moto E 4G purchased from Flipkart. Samsung India’s retail stores now facilitate easy Airtel 4G SIM swap for customers buying 4G smartphones. Samsung will also offer bundled Airtel 4G SIMs along with Samsung 4G handsets. Samsung will also be looking at launching its all new Core Prime 4G mobile smartphone in Airtel 4G markets.
