India telecom operator Airtel announced price cut for its 4G Hotspot that enables wireless users to create Wi-Fi zones.

The new price of Airtel Hotspot is Rs 999 in India.

Airtel announced a new pricing strategy one day after telecom regulator TRAI announced the latest telecom statistics for India.

Airtel 4G Hotspot allows wireless customers to simultaneously connect multiple devices – laptops, smartphones, tablets, smart devices (TV, speakers) – to Internet.

Airtel 4G Hotspot is available at top Airtel retail stores across the country. In addition, customers will soon be able to order the Airtel 4G Hotspot from e-commerce company Amazon India.

TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) recently revealed the broadband market share of Reliance Jio, Airtel, Vodafone, Idea Cellular and BSNL. Reliance Jio is the 4G market leader well ahead of Airtel.

Established telecom operators such as Airtel has 19.67 percent share, while Vodafone has 14.23 percent, Idea Cellular has 9.12 percent and BSNL has 6.23 percent share of the India’s wired and wireless Internet market, according to TRAI.
