Vodafone veteran Guy Laurence to join Rogers as CEO

Rogers Communications said on Thursday that Guy Laurence will take over as chief executive of the Canadian communications and media company in December.

Laurence will replace the current CEO Nadir Mohamed Mohamed announced his retirement earlier this year.

Laurence is currently CEO of Vodafone UK.

Guy Laurence to join Rogers as CEO

Vodafone UK is an estimated 11 billion dollar fixed and mobile company, operating in one of the most competitive communication markets in the world. He first joined Vodafone in 2000, holding a number of increasingly senior roles including CEO of Vodafone Netherlands (2005), before becoming CEO of Vodafone UK in 2008.

Prior to Vodafone, Laurence held various leadership positions at a number of media companies, including MGM Studios.
