Vodafone offers one paisa per second tariff in South India

Vodafone India
Telecom network operator Vodafone India announced one paisa per second tariff across South India — Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka – for prepaid customers.

Early this week, Vodafone India CEO Sunil Sood said that the company is facing pressure on voice revenue and may post a dip in value though there is an increase in volume in voice calls.

Vodafone’s One rate, One South pack will benefit 35 million Vodafone prepaid customers across five states. This voice tariff ensures cost effective mobile calls including local, STD and roaming across the southern states of India.
There will be no roaming incoming charges regardless of the location of the customer.

South India’s population includes working professionals, students, migrant laborers, businessmen, traders, drivers who frequently travel between the five south states and they use dual or multiple SIMs to avoid roaming charges.
