Indian telecom service provider Vodafone on Monday announced the expansion of its retail shops in Mumbai.
With the opening of the Vodafone global design store in Juhu, Mumbai the telecom operator’s retail network in Mumbai has reached more than 175.
Vodafone claims that it has the largest number of retail shops in the Mumbai circle. Vodafone India, a 100 percent subsidiary of Vodafone plc of the U.K, competes with Airtel, which recently acquired mobile customers of Loop Mobile.
The Vodafone Global Design Store retail store offers engaging retail experience of Vodafone’s products and services.
With over 9,000 stores in India, Vodafone today has one of the largest exclusive retail footprints in the country.
Located at Juhu Princess, Juhu Tara Road, in Mumbai, the retail shop in Juhu is the third Global Design Store in the city.
Vivek Mathur, chief commercial officer, Vodafone India, said: “Understanding the market dynamics and with more customers adopting smart phones and mobile internet, we have taken an innovative approach in retail design.”
