Vi Business unveils managed security service

Vi Business, the enterprise arm of Vodafone Idea, announced the launch of Managed Security Service and has collaborated with cybersecurity solutions company Fortinet.
Vi mobile network in IndiaVodafone Idea’s Managed Security Service (MSS) — built on Fortinet’s security processing units (SPUs) and FortiOS operating system — delivers firewalls with security features offering the first line of defense for any cyber-attack, ensuring protection to enterprise network.

The MSS includes both network-based firewalling with intrusion protection detection features and secure remote user access to enable remote workers to connect to their corporate network safely and securely through a VPN, Anil Philip, EVP – Products, Solutions and Partnerships, Vodafone Idea said.

“With our integrated security platform, MSSPs and telecom service providers, such as Vodafone Idea, benefit from high-performance technology and an easy to manage security solution that provides protection for the extended enterprise,” Rajesh Maurya, regional vice president, India & SAARC, Fortinet, said.

MSS provides Opex-based pricing, eliminating the need for upfront investment. It provides the flexibility to select products and services as per the needs. Enterprises get access to an online experience portal showcasing an analytical and detailed view on the security posture and threat analytics in their network.
