TIM revenue, Opex, EBITDA, Capex in Q3

Telecom Italia (TIM) today announced its revenue, ARPU, Opex, EBITDA and Capex for the third quarter of 2018.

TIM reported revenue of 4.666 billion euros (–4.1 percent), operating loss of 997 million euros and net loss of 1.283 billion euros.

An earnings presentation from Telecom Italia said it has posted quarterly revenue of 3.793 billion euros, EBITDA of 1.758 billion euros with EBITDA margin of 46.3 percent and EBIT of –1.091 billion euros from domestic market during Q3.

Telecom Italia’s revenue from Brazil was 922 million euros, EBITDA of 357 million with EBITDA margin of 38.7 percent, EBIT of 127 million euros with EBIT margin of 13.8 percent during the third quarter.

Telecom Italia lost mobile phone customers in Italy. Telecom Italia’s mobile subscriber base reached 19.299 million, registering 1.9 percent drop in Italy. Telecom Italia’s M2M customer base rose 34 percent to 9.256 million. ARPU of Telecom Italia’s Italy business fell 2 percent to 16 euro.

Telecom Italia’s LTE subscriber base in Italy increased 10.9 percent to 10.4 million during the third quarter of 2018. Broadband customer base in Italy increased 3.1 percent to 13.4 million.

Telecom Italia lost mobile phone customers in Brazil as well. Telecom Italia’s mobile user base dipped 5.3 percent to 56.24 million in Brazil. ARPU of Telecom Italia’s Brazil business grew 10 percent to 22.6 reais.
