TeliaSonera CEO Johan Dennelind: to maintain Capex at $2 bn

TeliaSonera CEO Johan Dennelind today said the telecom operator will maintain its Capex at SEK 17 billion or $1.95 billion for the current year.

“We foresee a gradual improvement in the earnings trend and reiterate our full year outlook. We anticipate EBITDA, on a local organic basis, to remain around last year’s level and foresee CAPEX at around SEK 17 billion, excluding license and spectrum fees,” said Dennelind.

The Stockholm-based TeliaSonera said it has started to execute on its investment plans to improve the internet experience for customers and structurally reduce the cost base. Recently, TeliaSonera introduced new cloud based services for small and mid-sized enterprises.
