Lars Erik Tellmann will be the new chief executive officer (CEO) of Telenor Myanmar – replacing Petter Furberg.

Since July 2013, Lars Erik Tellmann worked as the chief financial officer (CFO) of Telenor Myanmar.

Petter Furberg, who has headed Telenor Myanmar since July 2013 and established its operations in Myanmar, will take a new position in Telenor Digital Businesses in Asia.

Prior to the CFO role at Telenor Myanmar in July 2013, Lars Erik Tellmann was senior vice president and head of Strategic Development in Telenor Asia. Tellmann has also served as director and Board Member in a number of Telenor’s publicly listed mobile companies in the region. He joined Telenor in 2001, and has served Telenor Group in South-East Asia for over eight years.

“Telenor has a solid market and network presence in Myanmar and with a proven strategy and business model we are well set-up for future growth. My job will be to deliver on this strategy alongside a talented leadership team, and a highly passionate group of colleagues,” said Lars Erik Tellmann, newly appointed CEO of Telenor Myanmar.
