Telenor appoints Lars-Ake Norling as CEO for dtac, Albern Murty at Digi

Telenor has appointed Lars-Ake Norling as chief executive officer of Total Access Communication PCL (dtac), while Albern Murty will be the new CEO of Digi.

The telecom service provider said Lars-Ake Norling, currently the CEO of Digi Malaysia, will be the new CEO of dtac in Thailand. Albern Murty, chief operating officer (COO) of Digi, will become the company’s new CEO.

Sigve Brekke will step down as interim CEO in dtac and return to focusing on his role as executive vice president and ead of region Asia, Telenor Group.

Lars-Ake Norling joined Digi as CEO in August 2014, where he has overseen the company’s strong development in revenues and overall market position. Previous to Digi, Lars Ake was CEO in Telenor Sweden from 2009 to 2014 and served as their CTO from 2007 to 2009.

Digi CEO Albern Murty

In January 2014, Albern Murty became the company’s COO after serving as chief marketing officer. Before Digi, his previous experience includes business and commercial management roles in Lucent Technologies across the Asian region.
