Telenor appoints Jon Omund Revhaug as Head of Asia

Telecom operator Telenor Group has appointed Jon Omund Revhaug as Head of Telenor Asia and Sigvart Voss Eriksen as Head of Telenor Nordics, with both starting by the end of April.

Telenor CEO Benedicte Schilbred Fasmer highlights their exceptional telecommunications expertise, customer-focused leadership, and proven track records in building high-performing teams and driving operational excellence.

Sigvart Voss Eriksen, currently CEO of Omny, has experience in cybersecurity and scalable technologies. He led transformations across Telenor subsidiaries and was pivotal in the successful turnaround and sale of Tapad. Sigvart Voss Eriksen looks forward to enhancing Telenor Nordics’ competitiveness through innovation, simplification, and cost efficiencies.

Jon Omund Revhaug, a Telenor veteran with 24 years of experience, including over 15 years in Asia, expressed excitement about returning to lead dynamic operations in the region. His expertise includes leadership roles in Myanmar, the dtac-True merger in Thailand, and various positions across the Nordics, Central, and Eastern Europe. Schilbred Fasmer underscores Revhaug’s ability to deliver results in diverse markets as crucial for Telenor’s Asian operations.

Additionally, Thomas Midteide, as Chief Communications Officer, now reports directly to the CEO.
