Telenet plans Capex at around 25% of revenue

Telenet Group revealed that its Capex for the year 2022 will be around 25 percent of revenue – in line with the previous year.
Telenet investment plansTelenet’s capital expenditure was €635.6 million in 2021 and €218.4 million in Q4 2021, representing approximately 25 percent of revenue.

Telenet’s capital expenditures were €542.8 million, equivalent to approximately 21 percent of revenue, excluding the recognition of certain football broadcasting rights, the extension of both 2G and 3G mobile spectrum licenses and certain lease-related capital additions from capital expenditures.

Telenet said it expects revenue and Adjusted EBITDA growth of around 1 percent in 2022, offsetting higher staff-related and network operating expenses through cost control.

“We will continue to invest for growth in 2022. Including both 5G and advanced fiber investments, as detailed in our Outlook section, we expect accrued capital expenditures to represent around 25 percent of revenue,” Telenet said.
