Tata Communications enters Turkey via Turkcell Superonline partnership

Telecom Lead Middle East: In order to expand its global
footprints, Tata Communications, a global cable network services provider, has
partnered with telecom service provider Turkcell Superonline to enter into
Turkish market.

Speaking on the new partnership, Tata Communications MD
and regional head Radwan Moussalli said that Turkcell Superonline will be able
to use Tata Communications portfolio of cost-effective services, as it
enables access from Istanbul.

The new partnership enables Tata Communication to provide
its global cable network to Turkcell Superonline.

The company said that its cable network can be accessed
from almost all countries in the world either through partner or its direct
presence. The cable network provides data connectivity services for telecom
services like voice and broadband.

In an official statement, Turkecell Superonline’s CEO,
Murat Erkan said the partnership with Tata Communications for their
network will greatly contribute to the region’s Internet service.

Turkey has strategic geographic location which makes it
an important bridge between the Middle East, Central Asia and Europe.

Tata Communications launches world’s first round-the-world
fiber optic cable network

Earlier in March, Tata Communications announced the
launch of Tata Global Network – Eurasia (TGN-EA) cable, the world’s first
round-the-world fiber optic cable network.

The cable connects Europe to India, through Egypt,
bringing increased capacity, resilience and enhanced communications links to
not only the Middle East, but to the rest of the world. It will also provide
higher quality bandwidth on a global scale.

The company has around 400 nodes for providing direct
access to its network. The new partnership will add an important access node in
company’s global data cable network, which can be used for carrying
Internet traffic or providing Internet connectivity via Turkey’s largest city
of Istanbul as well.
