T-Mobile offers best package for Apple iPad mini 3 and iPad Air 2 buyers

American wireless carrier T-Mobile will kick off online pre-orders for Apple iPad mini 3 and iPad Air 2 tablets, competing with AT&T and Sprint.

T-Mobile US is offering special installment plans and unique data packages to attract customers to Apple’s latest tablets.

Apple iPad mini 3 and iPad Air 2 customers can add their tablet to their T-Mobile Simple Choice plan and match the data they already have — up to 5 GB a month for $10 per month.

T-Mobile rival Sprint said its customers can add iPad Air 2 or iPad mini 3 to Sprint Family Share Pack for an access charge of $10 per month per line. By paying $10 per month as access fee, you will not get any data package from Sprint. On the other hand, T-Mobile is offering 5 GB data for $10 per month if you are part of T-Mobile Simple Choice plan.

T-Mobile says there are no access fees or shared data buckets as compared with bigger rivals. This means, customers aren’t “re-buying” access to the data plan they already have.

John Legere, president and CEO of T-Mobile, said: “Combine our Data Strong network with the best rate plans in America and $0 down with 24 monthly payments, and it’s no surprise Americans are scooping up big screen devices at T-Mobile in record-shattering numbers.”

T-Mobile tablets come with the Un-carrier benefits including unlimited music streaming, unlimited international data and Free Data for Life – 200MB of free data every month for the life of the tablet while used on T-Mobile’s network.

The American telecom operator is also offering installment plans. iPad Air 2 (16GB) will be available for $26.24 per month for 24 months, while the iPad mini 3 (16GB) will be available for $22.08 per month for 24 months.

T-Mobile’s larger rival AT&T is offering Apple iPad Air 2 tablet for a monthly payment of $31.50 and iPad Air 2 for $26.50.

In the case of AT&T installment offers, the customers need to clear the payment in 20 months against 24 months for T-Mobile customers.

Sprint, one of the rivals of T-Mobile US and AT&T, recently announced iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 on its network in the U.S. Sprint, owned by Softbank of Japan, is not offering installment plan.

T-Mobile tablet users also get Un-carrier benefits that come with T-Mobile’s Simple Choice plan, including unlimited international data at no extra charge in 120+ countries, no domestic overages, unlimited music streaming with Music Freedom and Free Data for Life – giving tablet customers 200 MB of free data per month for the life of their device on 4G LTE network.
