Roam Mobility Canada in pact with T-Mobile to eliminate roaming rates for Canadians traveling to U.S.

Roam Mobility, a Canadian telecom company,
announced its agreement with T-Mobile USA to provide Canadians traveling into
the U.S with local rates for talk, text and data.

With this service Roam Mobility helps
Canadians avoid the expensive roaming rates they’ve become accustomed to
through their existing mobile carriers.

“In essence, Canadians can now get
American mobility rates and access to a nationwide network, without having to
purchase through their Canadian carrier and incur high roaming fees. Canadians
pay among the highest roaming rates in the world and we’d like to change
that,” said Emir Aboulhosn, CEO of Roam Mobility.

The agreement allows Roam Mobility
subscribers to have access to America’s Largest 4G Network offering blazing
speeds with HSPA+ 42 technology.

The new service will be available from
January 16, 2012. All plans are pre-paid and available in increments ranging
from one to 30 days. All talk and text plans are unlimited, and include calls
and text messages to the US and Canada starting at $2 per day. Data plans are
available in 500 MB, 1 GB, 2 GB and 5 GB increments, with rates as low as two
cents a megabyte.
