Proximus will be announcing a new CEO.

Guillaume Boutin, who has been with Proximus for seven years and served as CEO since December 2019, will become the CEO of Vodafone Investments & Strategy and a member of Vodafone Group’s Executive Committee.

Vodafone Group said Guillaume Boutin will join in May as CEO Vodafone Investments & Strategy, and a member of the Group Executive Committee. Guillaume Boutin will succeed Serpil Timuray, who has decided to leave Vodafone at the end of June after a 15-year career, to pursue external opportunities.

Vodafone Investments was established in 2024 to combine Vodafone’s non-controlled investments in telecoms operators, infrastructure assets and sector innovators, together with its Partner Markets division which provides services to other telecoms operators in 45 countries.

The Board of Proximus expressed regret at his departure while acknowledging his substantial contributions to the company’s growth and transformation.

During his tenure, Guillaume Boutin spearheaded the expansion of fiber and 5G networks in Belgium, strengthening the country’s digital infrastructure. He also played a key role in securing collaboration agreements with industry peers to optimize network deployment.

Under his leadership, Proximus successfully executed its bold2025 strategy, driving domestic growth while expanding its global presence. His initiatives led to the establishment of Proximus NXT and the launch of Proximus Global, positioning the company as a leading player in digital communications worldwide.
