Robert Purdy, Chief Information Officer of Odido, said: “This migration is a key step in our strategy to deliver exceptional customer experience. Partnering with Ericsson and Wipro has allowed us to modernize our billing infrastructure, ensuring we are ready to monetize the growing demand for 5G services.”

Odido Completes Cloud-Native Billing Migration: Ericsson and Wipro migrated 5 million Odido mobile customers to the Ericsson Billing platform, hosted on AWS (Amazon Web Services), marking a significant milestone in August 2024.

Launch of Innovative 5G Services: The migration enables Odido to offer advanced 5G services, including the Klik&Klaar fixed-wireless access (FWA) solution, improving operational efficiency and customer experience.

Seamless Migration Execution: The project, managed by Wipro as the system integrator, involved transitioning 5 million customers over a single weekend with zero faults, significantly modernizing Odido’s infrastructure.

Scalable and Future-Ready Billing Solution: The cloud-native Ericsson Billing system offers scalability and flexibility for Odido to support future technology growth, while reducing operating costs and technical debt.

Strategic Collaboration: The successful transformation strengthens the partnership between Ericsson, Wipro, and Odido, positioning Odido to deliver automated billing, enhanced customer experiences, and rapid service innovation.
