MTS selects Smith Micro Software for connection management solution

Smith Micro Software, a developer and marketer of software solutions and
services for the mobility market, announced that MTS India has selected
QuickLink Mobile to deliver superior data connectivity for its mobile broadband
customers.

MTS India, one of the fastest growing mobile broadband
operators in the region, will begin shipping Smith Micro Software’s connection
management technology to its subscribers in the latter half of 2011 across an
array of modem dongles.

As the leading telecom services provider in India, we
are dedicated to providing our subscribers with the best broadband experience
possible. As part of this endeavor, we are excited to select QuickLink Mobile
to deliver superior data connectivity for our mobile broadband customers,” said
Leonid Musatov, chief marketing officer, MTS India.

QuickLink Mobile is a comprehensive multi-network mode
solution that embraces a powerful, cross-platform approach to connectivity
management. As a result, MTS India is able to easily and seamlessly accelerate
deployment of its services to multiple markets while enhancing the user
experience for its mobile service subscribers.

QuickLink Mobile features an easy-to-use graphical user
interface (GUI) and skinning engine, and provides MTS India with detailed
control of application features and default settings, a snapshot of available
networks, and quickly determines the best available network connection.

In addition, QuickLink Mobile enhances the operator’s
average revenue per user (ARPU) by enabling pre-paid and post-paid data
services, and will reveal new services that become available once a data
connection is established.

This deployment with MTS India continues to reinforce
QuickLink Mobile’s broad appeal to mobile service operators across the globe,”
said William W. Smith, Jr., president and CEO, Smith Micro Software.
