MTN South Africa hires Cisco executive Alpheus Mangale as enterprise head

Telecom service provider MTN South Africa has hired former Cisco SA Managing Director Alpheus Mangale as chief enterprise officer.

The appointment will be effective from 01 December.

At Cisco he led all Cisco’s engagements across private and public sector markets and was responsible for the company’s overall country transformation strategy with service providers and government leaders.

Before Cisco, he spent 15 years at Dimension Data where he led the group’s technology strategy, marketing functions as well as all strategic business alliances for, among others, Microsoft, HP and EMC.

Mangale, who replaces Lambo Kanagaratnam, has over 18 years’ experience in the ICT, enterprise and public sector sectors in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
