MTN offers special mobile roaming rates on Mobily network during Hajj

MTN South Africa has launched special mobile rates to its customers roaming in Saudi Arabia on the Mobily network during the Hajj pilgrimage.

The offer will be available till 10 October.

MTN will charge local calls at R2.5 per minute and calls to South Africa and the rest of the world at R5 per minute. MTN SMS will be charged at R2 per message while data will be available at R2 per megabyte.

Data R2.00 per megabyte

*All rates above are inclusive of value added tax (VAT).

The African telecom service provider said the roaming promotion commences with immediate effect and runs until 10 October and sees greatly reduced voice, SMS and data rates during The Hajj annual pilgrimage to Mecca.

To activate International Roaming, Contract and My MTNChoice customers can contact their service provider; Prepaid and Top-Up customers have this service by default. Alternatively customers can activate MTN SMS Roaming by dialling *111*14#.
