Maxis appoints Morten Bangsgaard as CTO

Telecom services provider Maxis has appointed Morten Bangsgaard as its new chief technical officer (CTO).

The appointment is effective from February 1.

Bangsgaard will be reporting to CEO Morten Lundal.

Before joining Maxis, Lundal worked as chief information officer of TDC, a telecom operator in Denmark, responsible for network planning and building.

After the resignation of its CEO Sandip Das in April last year, Maxis made several changes to the top management team.

In the last 12 months, Maxis hired Vodafone Group plc chief commercial officer Lundal as CEO while CFO Nasution Mohamed assumed the role of joint COO, succeeding Mark Dioguardi. Nasution was later re-designated as the company’s chief financial and strategy officer. In November 2013, Suren J Amarasekera, joint COO of Maxis, has also resigned.
