Kuwait to have 6.3 million mobile subscriber connections in 2015

Telecom Lead Middle East: Kuwait telecom market will
have 6.3 million mobile subscriber connections by 2015 and Zain will be the
market leader with 37 percent market share.

 

For the research, the market research firm covered Zain
Kuwait (Zain Group), Wataniya Telecom, and Kuwait Telecom Company (Viva
Kuwait).

 

Telecom operator Zain Group selects NeuString OptiPrizer
software to improve roaming services

 

A few months back, Zain Group selected NeuString, a
provider of actionable business data analytics, to improve the cost and quality
of roaming services across seven Middle East markets.

 

NeuString claims that the OptiPrizer software provides profit
improvements of between 5 and 22 percent, processing the data of more than 45
operators worldwide.

 

Recently, Wataniya Telecom announced a special promotion to celebrate
Bangladesh’s 41st Independence Day. The promotion included 50 percent off on
SMS sent to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.

 

Wataniya Telecom also deployed Huawei’s Internet Cache
solution on Wataniya Telecom’s Networks Infrastructure.

 

Wataniya Telecom is focusing on advancing in two key
areas including mobile broadband service deployment and evolution to LTE mobile
technology.
