John Legere challenges AT&T, Verizon for investing in renewable energy

T-Mobile CEO John Legere
T-Mobile CEO John Legere has challenged rival telecom operators such as AT&T and Verizon Wireless for investing more in renewable energy.

This time, John Legere did not attack SoftBank-owned Sprint.

T-Mobile CEO John Legere, who committed to 100 percent renewable energy by 2021, will offer $500,000 to a non-profit dedicated to advancing clean energy initiatives in the US.

“If one of AT&T or Verizon join us in our commitment by June 1, we’ll double the total to $1 million. If both AT&T and Verizon join us, we’ll triple it! That’s $1.5 million dedicated to push forward clean energy,” John Legere said.
