Jio effect: Telenor offers local and STD calls at 10 paisa

Telenor India on Friday announced local and STD calls on Telenor network for 10 paisa per minute and all other calls at 20 paisa per minute in Gujarat.

The regional telecom operator has around 52 million subscriptions in six circles.

Reliance Jio Infocomm on Thursday announced the extension of free data and voice services till the end of March 2017. Jio has 52 million subscribers on its 4G network.

Just after the Jio announcement, Vodafone India said it will offer data packs for Rs 24 for 30 days to create awareness about mobile Internet.

Existing subscribers can make all calls within Telenor network at 10 paisa per minute and all other STD and local calls at 20 paisa per minute for 28 days by purchasing STV 47.

STV 34 from Telenor India offers call rate of 20 paisa per minute for all local calls with validity of 28 days.

FRC 44 from Telenor provides call rates of 10 paisa per minute for Telenor to Telenor STD Calls and all local and STD other network calls at 20 paisa per minute for 180 days along with Rs 30 talk time and 1GB data.

Customers can get these offers at the retail outlets, through online recharge from the Telenor India website, the Telenor India mobile app or by dialling *222*7*MRP# from their mobile phones. Telenor has over 355 distributors, 315 exclusive stores and 46000 Point of Sale and serves nearly 8.4 million customers in the Gujarat circle.
