The second edition of the start-up initiative is aimed at promoting and showcasing innovations across technology sectors. Last year’s event saw over 400 startups participate. The event will take place from October 15 to 18 at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi, co-hosted by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI).

The latest Nasscom report said ~60 percent of start-up founders report an increase in revenue and profitability in 2023. Over 100+ Generative AI start-ups are now active in India building horizontal and vertical applications.

Aspire will focus on various innovative technologies, including 5G, AI, Deep Tech, Electronics, Green Tech, Industry 4.0, Semiconductors, Smart Mobility, Sustainability, and Telecommunications equipment. Over 400 startups will particularly showcase advancements in AI and Deep Tech. Key event features include fireside chats with successful founders, keynotes, and panel discussions on topics relevant to entrepreneurship.

Among the highlights of the program are a 5G & 6G Hackathon, the STPI LEAP AHEAD initiative, investor speed dating, and networking opportunities. More than 200 investors and over 40-50 mentors are expected to engage with startup founders in one-on-one meetings. The event will also feature reverse pitching, where investors introduce themselves to founders, helping them identify the right partners for their ventures.

IMC CEO Ramakrishna P. highlighted the importance of the Indian startup ecosystem, which now consists of over 128,000 startups, making India the third-largest startup economy globally. IMC 2024 aims to provide valuable market access and foster collaboration between startups, academia, and the government to further drive innovation and economic growth.

Notable investors attending include Trifecta Capital, YourNest Venture Capital, Titan Capital, and Merak Ventures, among others.
