Digicel appoints Jean-Yves Charlier as CEO

Digicel today announced the appointment of Jean-Yves Charlier as group chief executive officer.

The telecom operator appointed Charlier, who left VEON as its CEO in March 2018, in the wake of the untimely passing of Digicel Group CEO Alexander Matuschka von Greiffenclau.

Jean-Yves Charlier served as chief executive officer of VEON from 2015 to 2018. Prior to that, he served as chairman and chief executive officer of SFR, a leading telecom operator in France.

Digicel serves 14 million customers across 31 markets across the Caribbean, Central America and the Pacific. Digicel invested $5 billion plus in the last 17 years.
