China Telecom Americas to expand; opens office in Chicago

China Telecom Americas, a wholly-owned North American-based subsidiary of China
Telecom announced the opening of a new full-service office in Chicago. 



“The opportunity presented by China’s continued economic growth can be
both attractive and overwhelming to businesses entering the region.  Many
firms want an experienced partner to help them develop and deploy a plan for
success in China.  For these companies, that partner is China Telecom
Americas,” said Donald Tan, president of China Telecom Americas



China and Chicago have strong business ties.  China is one of the largest
markets for the future growth of many of the international businesses
corporations in Chicago and the surrounding region. 



At least 300 Chicago-based companies have branch offices in China. And, more
than 30 China-based companies in the industries of logistics, transportation,
wholesaling, automotive parts, machine parts, and wind power have offices in
Chicago.  Chicago has one of the most diversified economies in the United
States, with gross regional product exceeding $475 billion annually.



China Telecom Americas is a provider of data, IP and voice wholesale services
to multinational companies, organizations and international carriers requiring
China domestic services and international access to China and the Asia Pacific
region.
