Rakesh Bharti Mittal, co-chairman of Bharti Foundation made this announcement on the occasion of the 25th death anniversary of Sat Paul Mittal, a parliamentarian and social reformer from Punjab.

Bharti Foundation aims to offer two types of scholarships. The School Scholarship will help students passing out of the primary and elementary Satya Bharti Schools to finish their education up to class XII by defraying cost as per scholarship amount towards school fees as well as books, notebooks and stationery, based on eligibility criteria.

The College Scholarships will support Class XII students, with minimum cut-off marks, to finish their vocational/college education.

Established in 2006, the Satya Bharti School Program aims to support education — especially focused on girls – in rural India. The Bharti Foundation, a CSR program of Bharti Enterprises, has committed an annual grant of Rs 5 crore in a phased manner.
