BH Telecom turns to Nokia Siemens to deliver high-speed 3G services

Telecom Lead Europe: BH Telecom, a leading telecom operator in Bosnia and Herzegovina, has selected Nokia Siemens Networks to provide HSPA+ radio access network and related services as part of its network upgrade.

The network upgrade aims to provide 3G mobile broadband access across the northern and eastern parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The service will deliver improved communications experience including greater coverage, excellent mobile broadband and multimedia services.

Nokia Siemens Networks will provide its Flexi Multiradio Base Station to monetize BH Telecom’s network. The rollout will include deployment on the 2100 MHz and 900 MHz bands for greater coverage, as well as Dual Cell HSPA+ enabling high-speed mobile broadband services such as video downloads and internet browsing with data speeds up to 30 Mbps.

Nokia Siemens Networks will also upgrade the multi-vendor network management system NetAct to efficiently monitor, optimize and configure BH Telecom’s networks.  The agreement also includes other services including project management, network implementation, optimization, and care services to improve network efficiency and enhance the quality of service.
