AT&T shares area-wise Capex details for 2012-2014

AT&T today announced its investment towards telecom Capex in wireless and wired networks in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Harrisburg, Lancaster, Delaware, Lehigh Valley, Wyoming Valley and Pennsylvania during 2012-2014.

Main focus areas of AT&T was addition of new cell sites, wireless broadband upgrades, addition of network capacity, and new wireless high-speed Internet connections.

The American wireless carrier invested more than $175 million in its wireless and wired networks in the Pittsburgh area from 2012 through 2014.

AT&T has invested more than $550 million in its wireless and wired networks in Philadelphia and the surrounding areas, including Wilmington and Camden. AT&T in 2014 made nearly 100 network upgrades in Philadelphia.

This apart, AT&T invested more than $45 million in its wireless and wired networks in the Harrisburg area from 2012 through 2014.

AT&T’s investment in Lancaster area was more than $25 million in its wireless and wired networks.

The wireless operator has invested nearly $70 million in its wireless and wired networks in Delaware.

AT&T has invested more than $40 million in its wireless and wired networks in Lehigh Valley.

Nearly $40 million was AT&T’s investment in its wireless and wired networks in the Wyoming Valley. AT&T in 2014 made several network upgrades in the Wyoming Valley.

AT&T invested more than $1 billion in its wireless and wired networks in Pennsylvania from 2012 through 2014. AT&T in 2014 made more than 300 network upgrades in Pennsylvania.

Telecom network enhancements in 2014 in Pennsylvania included 35 new cell sites, more than 50 carrier adds/capacity upgrades, nearly 220 network connection upgrades and expanded coverage at Heinz Field with Distributed Antenna System (DAS) upgrades.
