AT&T Passport packages for international travel announced

American wireless carrier AT&T today announced the AT&T Passport packages for international travel.

AT&T Passport offers unlimited Wi-Fi access at participating hotspots in select countries, including the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Japan and Mexico.

The entire package offers unlimited messages and Wi-Fi.

For $30, you will get 120 MB data, while data overage will cost $0.25 / MB and talk is priced at $1 per minute.

For $60, you will get 300 MB data, while data overage will cost $0.20 / MB and the price of talk is $0.50 per minute.

AT&T Passport

AT&T said for $120, users will get 800 MB data, while the cost of data overage will be $0.15 / MB and $0.35 per minute for talk.

Designed for international travel from one to 30 days, AT&T Passport packages can be added to your domestic postpaid plan. They carry a one-time charge, are valid for 30 days and expire automatically.

For customers who frequently travel abroad, new AT&T Global packages are available with a monthly recurring charge.  They include the same services, allotments and rates as Passport packages. Data-only Passport and Global packages are also available for tablets, laptops and other data-only devices.
