America Movil re-dials India telecom entry plans

Latin American telecom operator America Movil could be looking at an India entry by grabbing a deal in the Indian mobile market.

The entry to India is significant for Carlos Slim, the billionaire promoter of America Movil, because it faces unprecedented pressure in its home turf from regulators due to monopoly. America Movil is also facing competition from AT&T, a new entrant to Mexico. America Movil already started process for selling assets to meet regulatory guidelines.
