America Movil Capex reaches $10 bn in 2014

America Movil today said its Capex (Capital investment) reached 149.7 billion pesos or $10 billion in 2014.

Announcing the financial result for Q4 and 2014, billionaire Carlos Slim promoted America Movil did not share details about its Capex plan for 2015.

America Movil’s fourth quarter revenues rose 2.7 percent to 229.3 billion pesos or $15.3 billion – driven by 14.6 percent growth in mobile data revenues and 12.7 percent increase in PayTV and 12 increase in fixed broadband revenues. Net profit fell 77.8 percent to 3.6 billion pesos in the fourth quarter.

America Movil revenue in 2014 rose 2.9 percent to 883,832 million pesos, while net income fell 37.3 percent to 47,182 million pesos.

The company has 289.4 million wireless subscribers, 34.3 million landlines, 22.6 million broadband accesses and 21.5 million PayTV units. America Movil said Brazil is its largest and fastest-growing operation with 107.2 million accesses, up 5.7 percent.
