Airtel offers free 50MB mobile data to take right decision during LS polls

Indian telecom service provider Bharti Airtel today announced that it offers free 50MB internet for its prepaid mobile customers in Delhi NCR, Haryana and Kerala to select right candidates by accessing information online during the Lok Sabha polls in the country.

Bharti Airtel, a leading 2G, 3G and 4G service provider in India, said the free mobile data scheme is to encourage voters in India to make an informed choice.

50MB of free data will be available on the polling day from 7am to 7pm.

The free data will allow more and more voters to log onto the internet and know more about the candidates from their respective regions.

Airtel mobile customers voting can leverage the free data to post pictures of their inked fingers on social networks and inspire their friends as well as family to exercise their voting rights too

Idea Cellular, a rival of Bharti Airtel, has earlier kicked off an advertisement campaign on the use of mobile Internet among the youth population of India.

The Idea Cellular campaign on mobile data has focused on information available to people on the past / false promises of Lok Sabha candidates. The advt says people cannot be cheated because they can access mobile Internet and see the past records of their candidates.
