Airtel launches mobile applications marketing platform

Bharti Airtel has launched Airtel Zero, a marketing platform where customers can access mobile applications without any data charges.

Both big marketers and small application developers can utilize Airtel Zero to offer their mobile app without any data charges to customers. They can map the interest of dormant customers, attracting new potential users and increasing retention.

Airtel Zero will work as an efficient marketing platform for small developers or startup shops that face budget constraints towards driving promotions and app downloads.airtel to drive TD-LTE base station growth

The Sunil Mittal-promoted Bharti Airtel in a statement said that the Airtel Zero platform can deliver the same results as traditional digital marketing channels at one third of the cost.

“We are seeing a lot of interest from businesses across the board including several small startup firms, and expect a large number of applications to sign on. We invite all application developers to register their interest in Airtel Zero,” said Srini Gopalan, director – Consumer Business, Bharti Airtel (India).

The app community can tap Bharti Airtel’s 200 million plus customers across India.
