Airtel Internet TV launched
Telecom operator Bharti Airtel on Wednesday announced the launch of Airtel Internet TV in India.

The DTH business of Airtel said Airtel Internet TV — powered by Android TV — brings online content to the TV screen with more than 500 satellite TV channels.

The retail price of Airtel Internet TV is Rs 4,999 with 3 month Digital TV subscription. Customers can pay Rs 7,999 and get the Airtel Internet TV connection with one year subscription. Airtel Internet TV will be available exclusively on e-commerce channel Amazon India.

Airtel has also rolled out bundled offers for its home broadband customers. Internet TV customers need to register for myHOME on MyAirtel app and can avail up to 25GB additional data on their Airtel broadband account every month.

Airtel Internet TV comes with NetFlix, YouTube, Google Play Music, Airtel Movies and more. It also comes with access to Google Play Store that allows users to download their favourite apps, content and games on to their TV.

Airtel Internet TV features Wi-Fi receiver, Bluetooth based remote control and Google voice search features.

The company said its customers of Airtel Internet TV need high speed broadband or 4G hotspot connection with a minimum broadband speed of 4 Mbps to access Internet TV. Airtel Digital TV dish antenna is part of the regular DTH connection.

Existing Airtel Digital TV customers can also upgrade their existing STBs to Internet TV STB.
