Aircel offers NDTV content for Rs 36 per month to customers

Aircel STD callAircel announced its partnership with media company NDTV to introduce local content for Rs 36 per month to its mobile customers.

My City My News, led by IVR and SMS, will be available in English, Hindi, Bengali, Assamese, Bhojpuri and Tamil to Aircel subscribers. NDTV’s local, national and entertainment news will be available to Aircel customers. The service will also provide users with latest and breaking news as daily SMS alerts.

Aircel consumers can subscribe to this service by dialing 51111 (toll free) and gain information in regional language through IVR.

“The increasing availability of content across streams in local language will act as a catalyst for consumers to learn and lead a knowledgeable and informed lifestyle,” said Anupam Vasudev, chief marketing officer of Aircel.

Shyatto Raha, managing director of NDTV Worldwide, was instrumental in signing the agreement with Aircel.
