Aircel launches FRC149 mobile voice and data plan

Aircel brings tariff of 40p/min on local and STD calls in Delhi
Telecom network operator Aircel has launched FRC149 mobile package targeting new mobile phone customers in Kolkata.

Aircel added 376,325 mobile phone customers to it network in August. Currently, the number of mobile customers at Aircel network is 89.71 million.

The FRC149 package from Aircel offers free Aircel to Aircel — local and STD calls — for 30 days and free 300 minutes for Aircel to others — local and STD — for 60 days with the first recharge of Rs 149. In addition to the calling benefits, the customers will get free 1GB of 3G data for 60 days.

Aircel said the product offers multiple benefits to the customers as they will be able to carry forward unused minutes and 3G data over to the second month without any extra cost and enjoy all local and STD calls at 1 paisa per second for 90 days.

“The recent drop in the average selling price of smart phones has led to an explosion in the adoption of smart phones among Indians. More and more Indians are using mobile for calling (Voice) as well as surfing/sharing online (Internet/data),” said Anil Gupta, regional manager – East, Aircel.

Besides the FRC149 plan, Aircel also introduced RC147 for existing mobile customers. The product offers unlimited Aircel to Aircel — both local and STD — and 300 minutes for Aircel to others  — local and STD — for 30 days.
