TeliaSonera expands Managed Services contract with Ericsson

TeliaSonera has expanded the Managed Services contract with Ericsson to optimize its fixed and mobile networks in Nordics.

Started in 2010, the partnership allows Ericsson to perform field operation services for the operator’s fixed and mobile networks. As a result of the contract extension, Ericsson will also expand its footprint into eight new regions which corresponds to a growth of 200 percent.

Under the five-year contract, Ericsson will deliver Field Services for fixed and mobile network. This includes work such as installation, repair and delivery of new and existing customer connections, both in the passive and active network.

Charlotta Sund, president Region Northern Europe and Central Asia, Ericsson, said, “Increased network complexity and performance expectations puts high demands on the operators to run their operations in a cost-efficient manner while providing world-class experience to their customers.”

Since 2003 Ericsson has been responsible for managing field operation activities such as network field maintenance, spare parts handling and inventory management in TeliaSonera network.
