Telenor Hungary uses Teradata analytics services to gain business intelligence

Teradata, an analytic data solutions company, announced that
it has been selected by Telenor Hungary for data analytics and data management
services.

The new business intelligence gained from analysis of
call traffic data will be used to make decisions about business operations and
to offer subscribers better tariffs and assist them in ordering and modifying
services. Telenor Hungary has used a Teradata data warehouse for customer
management since 2004.

“In our quest to become Hungary’s favourite mobile
operator, we pay special attention to understanding and satisfying customer
needs. Collaboration with Teradata gives us access to data management and
analytics that allow us to get even closer to customers and improve our
business efficiency,” said Sigvart Voss Eriksen, chief marketing officer
of Telenor Hungary.

In addition, Telenor plans to use its new business
insight to discover ways to improve customer service in ways that lead to
higher subscriber satisfaction and retention.

“Teradata continues to be the comprehensive data
management partner with Telenor Hungary as it strives to increase customer
satisfaction even in the face of more demanding and technically savvy
consumers,” said Hermann Wimmer, president of the Europe, Middle East and
Africa region for Teradata.

Teradata recently announced expansion of its Teradata Managed Services capabilities to include application lifecycle
development and sustainment.

Teradata Managed Services will continue to offer support
for data warehouse operations, while expanding its services to new application
development projects that drive mission-critical data warehouses and enterprise
analytics.
