Telco Systems, a subsidiary of BATM Advanced Communications, delivers Carrier Ethernet and MPLS-based demarcation, aggregation, NFV and vCPE solutions, enabling service providers to create intelligent, service-assured, CE 2.0-compliant networks for mobile backhaul, business services and cloud networking.

Telco Systems’ Ethernet, SDN/NFV-ready product portfolio delivers significant advantages to service providers, utilities and city carriers competing in a rapidly evolving telecommunications market.

Telco Systems’ NFVTime solution, an innovative, service-ready, plug-and-play uCPE solution, delivers a complete service environment for telcos and managed service providers to rapidly launch VNF services. NFVTime integrates x86 white box hardware, a carrier-class NFVi-OS and a broad portfolio of certified VNFs that are centrally managed and orchestrated.

With NFVTime, any VNF service, including SD-WAN, vRouter, vFirewall, vProbe, vSecurity and much more, can be remotely launched at any time within a short time-to-market, supporting flexible deployment models and zero touch service provisioning.

By virtualizing the CPE and network functions, NFVTime allows service providers to create new revenue generating opportunities and significantly reduce the operational complexity and expenses to deploy and manage these new services.

NFVTime significantly shortens new service introduction timeframes from current practices of several months down to an efficient time period of two to three weeks. The result is a business and service agility, allowing the introduction of a valuable set of new services that are readily-available for on-demand ordering with near-real-time and real-time provisioning.

TelcoSystems estimates that NFVTime can provide up to 50 percent cost savings for new service deployments and service calls. Since NFVTime allows services to be deployed and maintained remotely, there is no longer a need to send a technician to a customer’s premises for new service deployments or maintenance calls.

By replacing dedicated hardware with white box appliances, warehouse and inventory expenses are reduced significantly at rate of up to 70 percent reduction when replacing three black box appliances with a single white box devices running three VNF services.

NFVTime is designed to run on low cost compute and reduce the initial investment in MANO without losing the automation and agile service delivery. This results Capex saving estimated in the millions. With NFVTime, no dedicated hardware is required to deploy any new network services remotely as a software on single white box. By running NFVTime and avoiding hardware costs for service providers, Telco Systems estimates that service providers and network operators can save approximately 20-50 percent on overall CPE overall hardware costs.

Telco Systems is in the process of completing a number of proof-of-concept trials with telcos and managed service providers in North America, Western Europe and Southeast Asia. Telco Systems demonstrated how NFVTime can significantly improve the service agility and revenue generating capabilities by including actually rollouts of VNF services to selected enterprise customers.
