Tektronix launches professional services consulting offering for Apac telecoms

Tektronix Communications has launched its Professional Services Technology Consulting offering for Asia Pacific.

The new service is designed to provide telecom operators with optimization solutions for the rollout of LTE networks across the region.

Informa Intelligence Center says Asia-Pacific is set to become the largest LTE market in the world, with LTE rollouts now progressing faster than ever in the APAC region and due to surpass 120 million connections by 2015.

Ken Pecot, VP of Professional Services, Tektronix Communications, said: “With the increasing competitive environment in the Asia-Pacific region, there has never been a greater need for deep end-to-end insight and optimization without losing control over Opex and Capex.”

Tektronix Communications’ new technology consulting service provides strategic end-to-end consulting services, delivered by a dedicated team of in-region consultants, focused on LTE network optimization and customer experience improvements.

Tektronix Communications claims that its client Telkomsel in Jakarta benefited from improvements in accessibility and capacity (34 percent improvement in wideband power), smartphone performance (211 percent improvement in high speed data traffic) and subscriber experience (44 percent improvement in call drop rates).
