Tech Mahindra has acquired Lightbridge Communications for $240 million.

Lightbridge Communications (LCC), which has clocked annual revenues of $400 million, is the world’s largest independent providers of Network Engineering Services to the telecom industry.

The strategy behind the acquisition is to enhance the presence of Tech Mahindra in the telecom networking space globally. The McLean, Virginia-headquartered LCC has built 350 networks and designed more than 350,000 cell sites for over 400 customers worldwide.

The acquisition will enable Tech Mahindra to address opportunity in the network upgrade market.

The combined expertise from Tech Mahindra’s software skills and LCC’s network engineering will differentiate Tech Mahindra’s offerings to both communications and enterprise customers.
